Chocolotta Love! [FAVORITE]

I want to start off by saying that I really hate brown on me. I hate brown polish [I feel like it looks so weird on me], brown clothes [ditto], brown basically everything that I need to wear. I have brown hair and brown eyes and anything else is just an overload in my mind. Enter Lynnderella's Chocolotta Love: "a blend of brown multi-sized hexagons and squares, black microglitter, as well as scattered yellow, red, purple, turquoise, lime and emerald "candies" in a sheer chocolate base. Like brownies with M+Ms baked in." This polish redeemed brown for me. I got this one because I knew I had to take a chance, plus it just looked so glowy! And I love chocolate, so yeah. Okay, less talking, more polish.

Sorry about the overload of pictures, but I couldn't even begin to capture how glowy and pretty and unexpected this polish is! I put it over 2 coats of Brucci Sparkling Bordeaux [as I have no other browns haha]. But I like the effect, it comes out more wine toned. I wore this till it chipped, about 2.5 days. I was literally mesmerized haha. The formula was great on this one, I really loved it. It was so easy to get the glitter on your nails and the multicolored glitter really looked sunken in and it was just so visually interesting. So even before I get to the blue in the collection, I know that this is my favorite!

Forget You Not

Happy happy Sunday! Who's gonna be watching the Oscars tonight?? I don't really have much invested in any of the movies but I'll be watching while studying for an exam [that'll go over well...]. Anyway, I have a Lynn combination today that I wasn't in love with. I think I used a weird base color, but it seemed like a good idea at the time haha. I had on 2 coats of Essie Cocktail Bling and put on 2 coats of Forget You Not on top:

From Lynn's blog: "Forget You Not is made with multi-sized periwinkle hexagons, pink sparks, blue sparks and cornflower-pink shimmer in a sheer blue base."

Eh. That's all I'm feeling about this combination. I'm thinking about putting it over China Glaze's Secret Peri-Wink-le and seeing if I like that better. Plus the formula on this was so weird. I would barely get any glitter on the nail and then all of a sudden get like 6 glitters in a giant clump. I had to shake it for every nail:/ So a little disappointed with this one.

Giveaway Alert!

Look at Glam Polish's amazing giveaway!!

Sweets to the Sweet

Another beautiful Lynn to show you today! Here's Sweets to the Sweet, described by Lynn as "Sweets to the Sweet contains translucent white multi-sized hexagons and squares, with scattered yellow, red, purple, turquoise, lime and emerald squares and hexagons in a shimmering translucent white sparkling base. There are also small iridescent green hexagons to sweeten the mix."

Basically, it's soft and gorgeous, okay? I have on 2 coats of Sally Hansen Smooth and Perfect Fog + 2 coats Sweets to the Sweet

This is definitely going to be my Easter manicure. It's so soft and  pretty! I do have to say though, that I liked the effect from farther away more for some reason. And I got some shrinkage at the tips, so that wasn't the most attractive. I'll have to apply this more carefully next time.

Matter of the Heart aka Sarah Willingly Wearing a Pink

So I was completely surprised that I even wanted MotH, let alone that I wanted to wear it first as a full mani! Plus, 2 manis after that [aka right now] I wore another pink. The schoolwork and the polish fumes must be getting to me! anyway, this is 2 coats of a pink franken I mate just to wear MofH over it + 2 coats MotH [described by Lynnderella as " Matter of the Heart has red, fuschia, pink, silver holographic multi-sized hexagons and squares with scattered holographic holo hearts in a sheer milky pink base with subtle pink shimmer."

I don't know if this makes sense, but it has this like... scattered pink shimmer. It's really unique, I've never seen it before. But it's really really pretty!! Plus, I got 2 hearts on my nails, one on the ring finger here and another on one of my thumbs.

The Paean of the Bells- a Lacquistry Polish

Hello lovelies! I have a great polish to show you today, one from Lacquistry. Her shop is currently closed, but she'll reopen soon [with new polishes!] and I for one can't wait:] There's no way I could describe this polish better then Jenna, so here's the description from the listing: "Lacquistry's Paean of The Bells is a sparkling bronze jelly base sprinkled with golden brown glitters, punctuated with gold holo bits to create a uniquely warm shimmer." It's an unusual color for me, so I passed up on it the first time I placed an order, only to have it haunt my nail polish dreams haha. So I promptly put that baby in my shopping cart as soon as I could! Here it is at 3 coats, I believe.

Great polish, but formula's understandably thick. I personally don't mind working with it to get this effect, but just letting you know:]

Twinsie Tuesday: the Matte Edition

I'm back, I'm back, I'm baaaaaaaaaaaack! How was everyone's weekend?? I'll be getting all caught up today with reading everyone's posts and comments:]

So for this Twinsie Tuesday, the theme is matte polish. So I thought I'd bust out one of the polishes I won from MariJo of Polish Obsession [thank you!!!<3]. Here's 2 coats of Revlon's Matte Suede Ruby Ribbon:

Okay, so not totally matte, but pretty nonetheless, right? I love mattes with shimmer, and this is no exception. Plus, this kind of color just makes me feel cozy, another reason I love this:] Thank you MariJo!! :D and make sure you all check out the other lovely ladies that are doing Twinsie Tuesday:
