Twinsie Tuesday Goes Holo

Happy Twinsie Tuesday all! It completely slipped my mind last night to schedule this post, so that's why this is late. Today's theme was holo polishes and I decided to show you my favorite holo: Layla's Flash Black :]

I think in general, holos are not my favorite finish bc they just look so freaking boring in the shade. But when I know I'm going to be outside a lot, I love to put on a holo polish:] It gives me something to stare at haha. Flash Black is probably the strongest holo I own, so I decided to show you 2 coats of that for today!

The formula on this was a lot better than the first time I wore it, which is weird haha. I did put this over another polish last time so maybe that's why it was patchy the first time, but it went on well in 2 coats now with  no patchiness.

Go look at all the holos my twinsies picked out:]

Memorial Day Mani

Happy Memorial Day all:] Hope your long weekends are going well!! Today, I'm showing you what I wore for memorial day: RBL's IKB:2012, F4 Polish's Party in the USA on my ring and thumb nails, and a franken I made on the rest of the nails :]

With my franken and Party in the USA

IBK: 2012 on it's own; 2 coats

It matched a bracelet I just got so perfectly!! I had to wear them together haha. IKB: 2012 isn't the best formula I've ever used, but I'm really loving the color. It got goopy on me fairly fast, so I had to let it sit between each hand. Ahh, it's okay. Party in the USA was super thick, and a little tough to maneuver, but it got there eventually. And my franken hasn't been named yet, but I'm thinking about calling it Happy Birthday, America! for the Fourth of July :]

What did everyone do today? Barbeques? Parades?? Spill!

Blood & Snow

Hi all! Happy weekend:] It's finally some nice weather in Jersey today, I can't wait to just sit outside. Yesssss. First, I want to point you all to a friend's blog sale. Katherine from Haul of Fame is having an emergency blog sale, so please go visit! She has some amazing goodies up for grabs: take a look!!

Onto the polish: I have a bunch of new polishes to play with from Metametics, a new to me Etsy polish seller. The inspiration behind these polishes really fits in with me and my sister's show interests: we both LOVE Game of Thrones, and she watches Sherlock. There's also Avengers and Avatar themed polishes, so the geek in us loves it;] This is a GoT themed polish, Blood and Snow [eee I love this name!]. I put 1 coat here over 1 coat Wet n Wild Black Creme:

Such an easy mani! And I love how it came out. I put this over a dark blue on my sister's nails and I really liked it! Maybe she'll make an appearance haha.

Light as Air + Princess Cut

Hi all! I got some epic nail mail today, so I'll have to swatch those really soon:] But for now, I have a combination I did when I first nubbinized my nails [it was a sad day]. I have shorter nails naturally, but I got some AWFUL peeling a little while ago, and finally broke the nail on my thumb and just decided to go to town with my file hahaha. My nails are definitely longer now, and [knock on wood] no signs of peeling! Yay! I will admit to really being hard on my nails though. So I'm trying to remedy that a little.

Anyway, let's talk polish. My favorite pastels are light purple and mint green, I wear them so often in the spring and I ALWAYS have these on my toes in the summer. China Glaze Light as Air is a favorite of mine, I love it a lot. I have on 2 coats here with 1 coat of Sally Hansen Princess Cut

My Take on Warrior Ethos

Hi all! Today I have a franken that I made for myself, though it won't be for sale. I'm sure everyone's heard about Nerd Lacquer and all that drama, but I since I really wanted Warrior Ethos and now can't get it, I decided to franken my own version! This one doesn't have a name yet, but I think I've worn it 3 times already! Love this glitter.

How'd I do? Close enough? Ehh, I love it either way haha

Twinsie Tuesday does Ombre Nails

Happy Twinsie Tuesday to all! This week, our theme was ombre manis. Okay, I had the hardest time find colors that went well togther, sooo in the end, I just painted my middle nail with 2 coats of Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetic's RX, and then mixed it with a little black for the ring nail and a little more black for the pinky, then mixed RX with some white for the index and a little more white on the thumb:] I LOVED how this came out!! And it really wasn't that hard either, so double win. Although, biggest regret: putting in too little white for the thumb. Next time!

I need to try this in green!! I loveeeeee it so much, it's actually surprising! I really can't get over it, I thought I wouldn't be a big fan. TT has made a convert out of me;]

What do you think of this!? And make sure you take a look at the polishes from my other lovely twinsies<3

Fantasy Fire goes Girly!

Hi all! Hope your weather is nicer than Jersey's today, it's rainy and blahhhh over here. Anyway, I have a mani I wore for quite a while during my final exam period, it held up really really well [so please excuse some minor tip wear]. It was INSANELY glossy too, though I'm not sure if I attribute that to the Max Factor Fantasy Fire or to my top coat [Cult Nails Wicked Fast]. Anyway, I had on 3 coats of Zoya Gilda and 2 of Fantasy Fire in most of these:]

Gilda on its own, 3 coats

With 1 coat of FF

Color shift!

I love the sparkliness of Gilda underneath with that color shifting shimmer!! Ahhh

Gradient Nails!

Happy weekend, all:] I have my mani of the past few days to show you, I did a gradient following the Nailasaurus's tutorial and I loved it! I did mess up a little bit on my ring finger, but oh well. The first color is Sally Hansen CSM Barely Bluebell, and let me tell you, I am in LOVE. So perfect for summer. The second is Wet n Wild Cost is No Issue. I think if you layer these, you should get a cheaper version of Lippmann Mermaid Dreams, too:]

Makes me think of swimming in the ocean:] I wanna go to the beach!!

2 Greens

Hello all! I have 2 greens to show you today, the famous Nars Zulu being the first! Okay, I've been lusting after this polish for a loooong time, but never bit the bullet and just got it because I was afraid it wouldn't measure up, you know? But while I'm still in the market for my perfect dark [but not too dark] green jelly, I really do love this one for what it is: non-red, vampy, squishiness. I had wanted to do 2 coats but it was still streaky, so here it is at 2:

My second green is a polish that will be in the etsy shop as soon as I get my bottles! Mock Turtle at 3 coats:

Aphrodite Lacquers!

Hi! Today I have some juicy, summery colors for you from Aphrodite Lacquers:] Grapetini and Rum Runner are from the Sandbar collection, and I honestly want them all! But I limited myself, wah wah :[ Anyway, Rebecca's running low on supplies right now, but she hopes to restock by end of May or June!

2 coats of Rum Runner

3 coats of Grapetini

My favorite is definitely Rum Runner, I'm in love with it!! The pigmentation is really good also. Grapetini is more vibrant that seems in these pictures though, and it's also really great. Grapetini also doesn't have an visible nail line in person, just in some of the pictures, so ignore that haha. Don't they look so squishy and juicy and perfect for summer?? I know I'll be wearing Rum Runner all the time.

Twinsie Tuesday: My Favorite Polish [REALLY picture heavy]

Okay, this was a surprisingly easy TT post for me, because I've been thinking about it for a looong time:] I've also had these pictures of this mani for like 2 months now, saving them for this post! So clearly, I'm very excited about it. Here's 3 amazing, gorgeous, jaw dropping coats of Lacquistry's Lake Placid on Acid, my absolute favorite polish:

Sorry, I could NOT narrow down the pictures of this polish! I'm actually infatuated with it.. I wore it for like 4 days straight, I think! Blue and green and glitter bomb?! YES!!!! I'm drooling just looking at it again... I need to wear this again. Like now.

Oh, and look at the other Twinsie's favorites! I can't wait to see them!:]
